Ava Marshall

Egan, Ethan, Emma, and I worked on this project with special help from Daniel. I came up with the idea based on my economics class, which I have with Ethan. Mrs. McMillan came into our class and briefly talked about the topic, and I thought it would be interesting to look into in a deeper way. I directed this, Daniel filled in for Ethan with filming. Egan did lights and Emma watched and helped participate in other things like writing questions and learn about the equipment. Ethan and Egan edited as I was away on a college visit. We didn't get great sound quality, due to noise in the background. I would love to re-film this as the story of the food truck develops. I think it is interesting and not a lot of people know about it.

Our Pre-production went well. We made a list of what we needed to bring so we wouldn't forget anything. We then made a list of questions and B-roll that we wanted to get. We proactively emailed Mrs.McMillan to set up an interview.

The following Monday, we had still not heard from Mrs.McMillan. I went to ask her in person and she agreed to the coming Wednesday. We also asked her where she kept the food truck and it turned out to be in a shop in New York hours away.

Production: Filming went well, or so we thought at least with the sound. One of our lights was weird as it was not as bright and kept flickering. Luckily that light stayed on while filming. We also had the wonderful surprise of Lani Lovisa joining, as we were only prepared for an interview with Mrs.McMillan.

I can not talk about editing as I was not here, but from what I have heard and have seen it went well.
